You do not need another month-long study plan if your interview is next week. You need focused practice that exposes weak areas quickly.
Day 1 — Baseline
Complete one SQL problem, one analytics case and one behavioral answer without AI. Record where you struggled. This becomes your starting benchmark.
Day 2 — SQL
Practice joins, aggregation, windows and edge cases. Use AI for hints and review only after attempting each problem.
Day 3 — Metrics and business thinking
Practice defining KPIs, choosing denominators and turning vague business questions into measurable problems.
Day 4 — Case studies
Work through two cases. Ask AI to challenge your assumptions and change one condition halfway through.
Day 5 — Behavioral stories
Practice real project stories and prepare for follow-ups about ownership, trade-offs, mistakes and impact.
Day 6 — Communication
Explain one analysis in two minutes, then thirty seconds. Remove jargon and unsupported claims.
Day 7 — Full simulation
Run a timed interview without AI assistance. Only afterward use AI to critique the performance and identify the next three priorities.
The rule for the week
AI should shorten the feedback loop, not remove the struggle. If the tool answers every question before you think, your preparation becomes less realistic.
