AI can generate hundreds of interview questions. That is not the hard part. The hard part is building the ability to reason through a new problem when the interviewer changes the assumptions.
Use AI as the interviewer, not the answer key
Give AI a role, business context and question. Answer first. Only then ask for feedback. This keeps the thinking on your side of the table.
Practice in six layers
- Clarify the problem.
- State assumptions.
- Choose metrics.
- Explain the analysis.
- Interpret evidence.
- Recommend action.
Ask for follow-up pressure
After your answer, ask: “What would a skeptical interviewer challenge?” and “Change one assumption and make me redo the conclusion.” This trains adaptability instead of memorization.
Track the failure, not just the score
Record whether you struggled with SQL, metric definition, business framing, communication, edge cases or confidence. Your next practice session should target the weakest area.
Do not memorize AI-generated answers
Scripts break when the interviewer changes the numbers. Frameworks survive because they tell you how to think.
For a seven-day implementation, use the 7-day interview practice plan.
